Description:
This family are looking for a carer/enabler to assist with Jack 10, who has cerebral
palsy and requires all help with personal care, transfers and one-to-one facilitation
for all activities. Jack is a very bright and responsive boy, who needs a lot
of stimuli. He is an AAC
user and takes most fluids via Gastrostomy tube. Jack has a younger brother Dylan
9, who likes to be involved in the activities that Jack does. The family need
someone who can be inventive and know how to have fun. They also need to have
good experience with Cerebral palsy, working within the home environment and an
appreciation of the family's needs in general. Mum is around, but occasionally
the position is sole charge. Jack enjoys swimming, cooking, horse riding, football,
cinema, painting, music and theme parks! The position would involve all aspects
of Jack's care and feeding and enabling him to join in with the family activities.
