The Movement Centre is an independent not-for-profit specialist physiotherapy centre dedicated to helping children with cerebral palsy and related problems of movement control.

Paediatric physiotherapy involves rehabilitation of babies and children with neurological conditions. At Manchester Neuro Physio we have experienced paediatric physiotherapists who will provide specialised physiotherapy treatment for children aged between 0 and 18 years that have difficulty with their physical development. The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice provides information about independent speech and language therapists throughout the UK. All ASLTIP members are certified RCSLT members and are registered with the Health Professions Council

If you think you, or your child or relative needs to see a speech and language therapist ask your GP, district nurse, health visitor, your child's nursery staff or teacher for a referral. Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales provides specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to children all over Wales who have cerebral palsy. Bobath therapists are state-registered and work together as a team to combine these disciplines to give each child the skills to explore their world, communicate their needs, maximise their potential and so improve their quality of life.

Peach (Parents for the early intervention of autism in children) is a national charity which provides ABA services and gives advice on autism to families in the UK. One of the main services that Peach offers is a helpline for parents. Many parents find it difficult to get answers to their questions when their children have difficulties and do not know where to turn. Peach provides information packs and importantly puts parents in contact with other parents who have been through the same processes and now have a positive outlook.

Dramatherapy has as its main focus the intentional use of healing aspects of drama and theatre as the therapeutic process. It is a method of working and playing that uses action methods to facilitate creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth. Dramatherapy is a diverse profession and it is important to ensure that those who practice it are maintaining the standards that we as a professional body uphold. Dramatherapists, along with Art and Music Therapists, need to register with the Health Professions Council. The British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) is the professional body for Dramatherapists in the United Kingdom.
