Description:
This family are seeking an organised and practical
live-in or daily nanny initially for their
two oldest children: Ciara who is 6 and her
big brother Cillian aged 10. Ciara and Cillian
also have a baby brother aged 4 months, who
the nanny may possibly look after once settled
in. Ciara has mild to moderate autism. She
attends mainstream school with the help of
a special needs assistant. She has good speech
and language but often chooses not to speak
in new/ different situations or if she feels
uncomfortable. She is a pretty child and endears
herself to people but she is severely lacking
in social skills. Ciara loves books and reading.
She also enjoys music and dance. She plays
with her dolls a lot and mimics what mum does
with her baby brother e.g. changing nappies
and feeding. Cillian's favourite activity
is rugby, he also plays tennis and the piano.
Typical activities include: Getting the children
dressed, washed, fed and ready for school.
Taking children to school. Return to the house
and spend the morning with household duties
relating to the children. Collecting the children
from school and prepare lunch. Take the children
to afternoon activities e.g. tennis, swimming
or taking them to playground or do arts and
crafts. Assistance with homework. Occupation
therapy activities. Playdates. Preparation
of evening meal and feeding the children The
family live in a lovely area of Dublin - Carrickmines;
8 miles from the city centre, close to the
shops and not far to the mountains and sea.
