Description: We are seeking a live-in nanny for a family with two little boys, George and William, both with additional needs. The family live in a large 5 bed roomed manor house in the beautiful Devon Countryside. The farm is set in a small village - so you need to drive so in order to get out and about! The nearest small towns are Launceston and Tavistock where there are plenty of places to go to eat or drink. Plymouth is the nearest city - where there is a multiplex cinema, nightclub, etc. The family have lots of animals - including 2 dogs, 2 cats, many chickens, some cows and horses so the nanny must be an animal lover and not just tolerate animals! George is diagnosed as having a complex language disorder and being on the autism spectrum. At present George attends nursery 5 mornings a week - he leaves home at 8.40 and returns at 12.00. He is a sensitive little boy - and can be a bit of a worrier! He loves praise and encouragement. He is very affectionate and loves hugs and kisses. He loves messy play, being outdoors, rough and tumble play and chasing games! William is 3 years old and has been diagnosed as having childhood autism and has a severe speech delay. William attends nursery 2 mornings a week at present. He has a portage home visitor once a week and we are hoping to introduce him to PECS. William is a very happy, placid little boy - quite laid back at times. He also loves his messy play, music, chasing games, rough and tumble and he is also very affectionate. Both boys have a good sense of humour and are a lot of fun - they are both physically able in every way. The family need a committed, permanent nanny with experience of autism and PECS. This is a fantastic live-in position with sole use of a car, on and off duty!
