Job: Live-in (Buddy/Support) Ref:
V2292 |
|
Description:
We are looking for a buddy/support to help
"A" who is 14 and has anorexia.
"A" is a lively, creative young
woman, but she is very anxious around mealtimes.
She has been in a clinic for eating disorders
and will be coming home mid / end June/july.
We are seeking a buddy who will be kind,
upbeat and fun, but also be firm. "A"
needs support especially around and after
mealtimes. We are looking for someone who
will provide creative and interesting activities
(not too physical) which will provide useful
distraction and someone to help her within
the family setting. Obviously this is very
stressful for her parents. If someone was
able to assist with "A's" academic
work, perhaps French for example this would
be very welcome. It is hoped that she will
be going back to school initially part-time,
but this will depend on her recovery/weight
gain. This position is from mid/end June
until at least the end of October, could
be extended until Christmas if this was
a more suitable period for the applicant
, but due to the unpredictable nature of
the condition, there needs to be some flexibility.
The hours are based around a 35 hour week,
specific hours to be mutually agreed. The
wage is negotiable according to age and
experience. The family live in a lovely
area in Norfolk right by the coast.
